Trusted By Big Brands:Why Experience Matters When Choosing a Corporate Chocolatier.

When you’re putting your brand on a product, getting it right matters. Whether you’re looking for chocolate for a major corporate campaign, a client gift, a trade show, an awards event or a company milestone, you want more than something with a logo printed on it. You want the chocolate to look right, taste good, represent your brand properly and arrive when you need it.

That’s where experience matters.

At Baxter Murray, we’ve been making chocolate for businesses since 1995. Over more than 30 years, we’ve worked with big brands, smaller businesses, marketing teams, event organisers and organisations looking for something completely different. We’ve made simple branded chocolates and highly detailed bespoke pieces, produced hundreds of chocolates and thousands of chocolates, and dealt with everything from straightforward single deliveries to complex multi-location fulfilment.

And we’ve learned something along the way.

You don’t need to be a chocolate expert. That’s our job.

What Should You Look For In A Corporate Chocolatier?

Choosing a corporate chocolatier isn’t simply about finding someone who can put your logo on a chocolate bar. A good supplier should be able to understand what you’re trying to achieve and help you work out the best way to make it happen.

Sometimes a customer comes to us knowing exactly what they want. They have the artwork, the quantity and a deadline. Other times, they have a logo and a rough idea but aren’t sure what product would work best.

That’s absolutely fine.

You don’t need to have the whole project worked out before you contact us. We can talk through what you’re trying to achieve, how many you need, what sort of budget you’re working with and when you need the finished chocolate. From there, we can advise on the product, the mould, the packaging and the practicalities of getting it made and delivered.

After 30+ years of doing this, we’ve got a pretty good idea of the questions that need to be asked before production starts.

You Don’t Need To Be A Chocolate Expert. That’s Our Job.

One of the things we enjoy most is taking an idea and working out how to turn it into chocolate. This is particularly important when a customer wants something completely bespoke.

A design that looks perfect on a computer screen doesn’t always translate directly into a chocolate mould. Fine details, very thin sections, awkward shapes and complicated structures can all create problems when you have to turn a two-dimensional design into something that can be produced consistently in chocolate.

That’s where experience really counts.

Challenging Chocolate Project

We recently worked with a client who wanted to create a chocolate replica of a component from their motor control technology, Optidrives. The original product was an intricate piece of technology, and simply transferring the detailed line drawing directly into a chocolate mould wasn’t going to produce the right result. We worked closely with the client to simplify the line drawing, identifying the important features that needed to be retained so the finished chocolate would still clearly represent their technology. From that, we were able to create a bespoke bar mould that captured the key aspects of the product and turn it into a practical, great-looking chocolate piece. We paired the Belgian chocolate with a full-colour, double-sided branded card, creating a finished product that was both memorable and easy to display and hand out on their trade stand at the exhibition. The client was delighted with the result and subsequently left us a 5-star review on Trustpilot. For us, this is exactly where our experience as a corporate chocolatier makes a difference – we don’t simply reproduce a design; we work with our clients to understand what matters about their product and find a way to make those important details work in chocolate.

We don’t see that as a problem. It’s part of our job.

If something won’t work, we’d rather tell you before the mould is made and help you find a solution than simply say yes and leave you with a product that doesn’t turn out as you’d hoped.

That’s one of the advantages of dealing directly with an experienced chocolatier. You’re talking to people who understand the chocolate-making process, not simply taking an order from a catalogue.

We Carry Hundreds of Mould Designs in Stock

We create our own moulds in-house, so bespoke chocolate can be a genuine part of the conversation from the beginning. We’ve made chocolate versions of company logos, products, vehicles, mascots, commemorative pieces and all sorts of unusual ideas over the years.

But bespoke doesn’t automatically mean starting from scratch.

One of the first things we’ll look at is whether we already have a mould that could do the job. We have a huge range of stock moulds in hundreds of different designs, and if one of them is suitable, using it can save time and money while still allowing the chocolate and packaging to be branded specifically for your business.

That’s something we think is important. We don’t believe in making something more complicated or expensive simply because we can.

Sometimes The Best Solution Isn’t The Most Complicated One

A good example was a luxury watch brand who wanted to give their staff a chocolate F1 car as a Christmas gift across their retail outlets in France. Rather than starting from scratch with a new bespoke mould, we were able to recommend a suitable F1 car mould from our existing range. We then handmade the order in Belgian milk chocolate and used a stock box size, keeping the project straightforward and cost effective. To make the gift personal to the brand and the occasion, we produced a full-colour branded lid featuring their seasonal Christmas message. Once everything was made and packed, we split the order into the required batch sizes and arranged delivery to all of their retail locations across France. The result was fantastic – so much so that the client came back to us with a further order for the same Christmas gift to be delivered to their locations in Spain. For us, this is exactly where experience adds value. We didn’t need to create something complicated; we used an existing mould, combined it with quality Belgian chocolate and personalised packaging, and managed the fulfilment so the client had one less thing to worry about.

Corporate Chocolate Is About More Than The Chocolate

Of course, the chocolate itself matters. It needs to taste good, look good and arrive in good condition. But when you’re putting your company’s name on it, the chocolate is only part of the finished product.

Packaging matters too.

A beautifully made chocolate in packaging that doesn’t reflect the quality of your brand can let the whole idea down. That’s why we look at the chocolate and the presentation together. We can produce full-colour branded packaging and, where appropriate, use existing packaging formats rather than creating something completely new.

Then there’s the practical side of the order.

Where is everything going? Does it need to go to one office or several? Is there a fixed event date? Is the chocolate being handed out at an event or sent directly to customers? Are there hundreds of individual addresses involved?

These things can make a big difference to how an order needs to be planned.

A great example of this was an order we produced to help a client celebrate an important achievement across all of their UK offices. Their staff had worked incredibly hard to raise £1 million for Barnardo’s, and they wanted something special to mark the milestone and thank everyone who had contributed.

The idea was a commemorative chocolate coin, with the achievement and charity details featured on a branded backing card. It was a simple idea, but one that had real meaning for the people receiving it.

The timescale was tight, and the chocolates needed to be distributed in smaller batches to 16 different UK locations. We produced the mould and chocolates in-house, paired every coin with its individually branded card, then organised the order into the required batches ready for dispatch.

It’s exactly the sort of project where having everything under one roof makes a difference. We could manage the moulding, chocolate production, finishing, card pairing and fulfilment ourselves, rather than having different parts of the order handled by separate suppliers.

Most importantly, the client was delighted with the result. They told us everything arrived on time, the chocolates were delicious and the quality of the card backing was fantastic. For us, that was particularly satisfying because this wasn’t simply a branded chocolate giveaway, it was a small but thoughtful way of recognising a huge achievement by their staff.

This is the sort of practical experience that doesn’t necessarily appear on a product specification, but it matters when you’re responsible for a corporate campaign.

We’ve also had to think on our feet when circumstances haven’t been straightforward.

The summer of 2026 certainly put our chocolate shipping procedures to the test. When temperatures were soaring, we kept a close eye on weather forecasts across the UK and planned dispatches for the coolest and most suitable days wherever possible. When a deadline meant an order simply couldn’t wait, we took extra precautions, including insulating the boxes with polystyrene sheets and arranging a late collection followed by a morning delivery. The aim was to keep the chocolates in transit for the shortest possible time. Thankfully, our precautions paid off and we got through the hot weather without a single order being damaged by the heat.

You can’t always predict what will happen between making the chocolate and it arriving with the customer. Experience means knowing where the potential problems are and thinking ahead.

Trusted By Big Brands – But We’re Still A Family Business

We’ve worked with some very large organisations over the years, but Baxter Murray is still a family-run business.

That’s something we’re proud of.

It means our customers can talk directly to us. You can discuss an idea, ask whether something will work, talk through a budget or explain that you’ve suddenly got a shorter deadline. We’re not just passing your requirements from one department to another.

And because we’re involved in making the chocolate, creating the moulds and producing the packaging, we understand what is involved in getting the finished product right.

A good example of a client who continues to trust us with their chocolate requirements is Butterfield Bank. We have produced their Christmas chocolates for three years running, but our relationship with them goes beyond their annual Christmas order.

During the year, they have also come back to us for smaller orders for their UK and Channel Island branches, with different requirements depending on the occasion. That’s something we really value because it shows that they know they can come back to us whether they need a larger seasonal order or a smaller, more specific chocolate project.

For us, repeat business like this is one of the best measures of whether we are getting things right. It isn’t just about producing good chocolate; it’s about understanding what the client needs, communicating directly with them and delivering the quality and service they expect each time.

For us, that’s what being trusted really means.

It’s not just getting one order. It’s having a customer come back because they know you’ll understand what they’re trying to achieve and will give them an honest answer.

30+ Years Means We’ve Seen A Lot Of Chocolate Ideas

Since 1995, we’ve made a lot of chocolate.

We’ve made bars, coins, medals, lollipops, truffles, chocolate vehicles, logos, commemorative pieces and completely bespoke shapes. We’ve produced chocolate for Christmas gifting, trade shows, corporate events, charity campaigns, awards ceremonies, anniversaries and customer engagement.

We’ve worked on small quantities and large production runs. We’ve helped customers develop ideas from scratch and we’ve taken existing designs and worked out how to translate them into chocolate.

Every project teaches you something.

You learn what works. You learn what doesn’t. You learn where problems are likely to arise and, just as importantly, you learn how to spot them early.

So when a customer comes to us with an idea, they’re not just getting a price.

They’re getting more than 30 years of experience behind the conversation.

The Big Question Isn’t “Can You Make It?”

Of course, we want to know what you’d like us to make. But often the more useful question is, “What’s the best way to achieve what we want?”

Perhaps you’re trying to impress a group of VIP clients. Maybe you’re looking for something memorable for a trade show. You could be planning a Christmas gift for hundreds of employees, celebrating a company milestone or looking for a chocolate version of your product, logo or mascot.

The right answer isn’t necessarily the same for every business.

That’s why we don’t believe in simply pushing everyone towards the same product. We listen to what you’re trying to achieve and then work out what will make sense from a chocolate, branding, budget and production point of view.

Sometimes that’s a simple branded chocolate.

Sometimes it’s a completely bespoke mould.

Sometimes it’s an existing Baxter Murray mould with new packaging.

And sometimes the best advice we can give you is to change the original idea slightly so that it works better in chocolate.

That’s what experience is there for.
